10 Years of Academic Excellences and Then Some

The Purple TIDE has had Academic All-Americans going back to 1992, and has been on the Academic Team list for the last 10 years. The women have been listed among the top 20 teams in the USA every year and has made the top 5 once. Final Rankings will come out late July or early August.

There are over 342,786 high school swimmers in the USA, swimming on 15,623 high school teams. Only 2% of all these swimmers make All-American or teams win national recognition.

Matt Miller to be Inducted Beloit Sports HOF

CONGRATULATIONS TO:
Matt Miller Class of 1993, will be inducted in the Beloit Historical Society Sports Hall of Fame. Matt is now a coach and partner owner of the Walter Schroeder Aquatic Center in Brown Deer Wisconsin. I started coaching Matt when he was 5 years old with the Beloit Aquatic Team. Matt was an outstanding swimmer at all levels, qualifying for the USA Swimming Zone meet and placing in several events through out his age-group years.
As a Purple TIDE swimmer at BMHS he swam on an All-American 200 Free Relay his junior year. As a Senior he finished 2nd in the 50 Free and 3rd in the 100 Back at the WIAA State Meet. He still holds the school records in both of these events, he also qualified the WiAA state meet 10 times sophomore through senior year. He also qualified for Junior Nationals.
Matt was also a 3 sport athlete at BMHS playing on the soccer team and on a conference and sectional team champion tennis teams.
In college Matt swam for Kenyon College winning the NCAA D3 Title in the 50 Free his Sophomore and Junior seasons. He also swam on 13 NCAA champion relays and made All-American 18 times, he also help them win 4 NCAA D3 National Titles. Matt also Qualified for the USA Swimming Senior Nationals.
He will be inducted June 10th.
